Хм, как бы вопросик: а VirtualBox умеет работать с графическими адаптерами (ну чтоб там в игры старые поиграть)?

crashtuak, я устанавливал ,кажется Визардри.Игра запускалась,но поиграть не удалось - мышь у меня на блютузе,курором не смог поймать кнопку "Начать игру".

Может кто подскажет у меня на виртуальной машине флеш и ява загружают проц до 97 % даже если в любом браузере попадаеться банер на флеше тоже полная загрузка проца :((

Указали с какого источника нада грузится? проверьте или правильно указан путь к закгрузочному образу (диску).

3.7.5. CD/DVD-ROM and floppy settings
In the VM Settings window, the settings in these two categories determine what VirtualBox provides as a floppy disk and as a CD/DVD-ROM drive to your VM's guest operating system.

For both the floppy and CD/DVD-ROM categories, if the "Mount" checkbox is unchecked, VirtualBox will report to the guest that no media is in the drive. Otherwise, if the "Mount" checkbox is set, the following options are available:

Host drive: The physical device of the host computer is connected to the VM, so that the guest operating system can read from and write to your physical device. This is, for instance, useful if you want to install Windows from a real installation CD. In this case, select your host drive from the drop-down list presented.

Image file: Quite similar to virtual hard disks, this presents a file on your host as a device to the guest operating system. To use an image file, you must first import it into the Virtual Disk Manager; see Section 3.5, “The Virtual Disk Manager”. The image file format varies depending on the type of device:

For floppies, the file must be in raw format.

For CD- and DVD-ROMs, the file must be in ISO format. Most commonly, you will select this option when installing an operating system from an ISO file that you have obtained from the Internet. For example, most Linux distributions are available in this way.

All these settings can be changed while the guest is running. Since the "Settings" dialog is not available at that time, you can also access these settings from the "Devices" menu of your virtual machine window.

Note
The identification string of the drive provided to the guest (which, in the guest, would be displayed by configuration tools such as the Windows Device Manager) is always "VBOX CD-ROM", irrespective of the current configuration of the virtual drive. This is to prevent hardware detection from being triggered in the guest operating system every time the configuration is changed.

Using the host drive normally provides a read-only drive to the guest. As an experimental feature (which currently works for data only, audio is not supported), it is possible to give the guest access to the CD/DVD writing features of the host drive (if available):

This deliberately does not pass through really all commands. Unsafe commands (such as updating the drive firmware) are blocked.

Не успел выйти финал тройки, как выпустили очередное обновление VirtualBox 3.0.2 (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads) (released 2009-07-10).
Changelog (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog) не очень большой, наверное серьёзные ошибки подправили.

Здравствуйте, помогите кто ставил себе эту виртуалку , после установки Дополнений для гостевой Ос - всеравно не могу скопировать файлы
из основной в гостевую сситему - банальным перетаскиванием не получается как в vmware - что может быть не так ?
второй момент - как можно пользоваться Общими папками - я создал одну C:\test - но так и не знаю что дальше делать ,
все вроде делаю норм - но вот такой конфуз

Заходи в виртуалке и подключай общую, как сетевую.
Там будет пункт "VirtualBox Shared Folders".
Но она не прям моментально только подлючается. Не спеши тыкать повторно.

На офф сайте доступна новая версия VirtualBox 3.0.2.

StErZaR, об этом, как бы, упоминали тремя сообщениями ранее, но дело в другом - впечатления от использования - самые приятные. Ошибок, тех, что попадались в 3.0.0, в частности, пока не обнаружено.

Да, версия вроде как по-стабильней и по-приятней, пока тестирую. Даже в нарды и морхун уже почти нормально можно гонять

Но одна проблема остается во всех версиях. Это когда в полноэкраном режиме, курсор мышки двигается прирывесто или не совпадает с реальным движением

greg_b, у меня на юсб и пс/2 такое постоянно. Иногда бывает, что такое не случается. Но это я так просто высказал, надо бы так то писать разрабочикам
