Антивируса нет, файрволл только штатный виндовый.
setupapi.dev.log не создается, есть setupapi.app.log, и в нем, похоже, все ОК.
На всякий случай, цепляю еще VBoxInstallLog.txt, там есть такие моменты:

В процессе установки вылетало окошко с сообщением о том, что common.cab не найден(?!) Подсовывание куда-то почему-то потерянного cab, вытащенного Extractor'ом из инсталлятора VirtualBox'а не помогло.
