Имеется внутренний модем Genius GM-56-PCI-LA (Lucent), Linux Red Hat 8.0 ядро 2.4.18-14 и имеется проблема: модем под виндами работает, я под Linux не определяется.
Я знаю что про эти модемы уже шел не раз разговор на этом форуме(читал), но проблема еще в том что в Linuxе я полный ноль и прочитав всё выше написанное ничего не понял. Скачал разные дрова, пытался ставить, ничего не вышло. Начал как вы советовали с команд: a) что выдает BIOS о вашем модеме при загрузке б) что выдает *о нем команда dmesg в) что выдает lspci -vv г) содержание */proc/bus/pci/devices д) название, марка, надписи на самых больших чипах Пункт а) не знаю где посмотреть. Команды вводил в консоли, они там выдали всякую инфу, вроде на PCI модем видится, но как скопировать эту инфу из окна терминала, чтобы воткнуть в мою тему не знаю(в ручную переписывать не охота), сплошной круговорот. А разобраться в Linuxe без интернета не возможно, приходится каждый раз перегружатся в Винды, потом лезть в инет - не удобно! Подскажите пожалуйста с чего начать? |

Дрова я не ставил, т. к. не знаю какие подойдут к моему модему, прошу подсказки.
После введения lsmod | grep tty никакой реакции. Ну что, ставь дрова :)
1 необходимо их найти и скачать 2 установить При возникновении проблем писать сюда :) - какие дрова скачал, что с ними делал и прочее, прочее прочее :) PS Lucent выпускает свои собственные драйвера под Linux, но я, к сожалению их не ставил. |
Скачал дрова:
ltmodem-kv_2.4.18_14-8.26a9-1.i686.rpm (этот вроде как под моё ядро заточен) ltmodem-8.26a9.tar.gz (а этот вроде как самый свежий). Первый при установке говорит, мол этот пакет уже установлен. А второй разпоковал в директорию ltmodem-8.26a9, в ней коталоги Utils, DOCs, всякие файлы:1ST-READ, build_module, FileList.txt, build_deb, build_rpm, scanmodem и архив source.tar.gz,который я разпаковал в директорию ltmodem-8.26a9, как директорию. В директории source тоже куча файлов. Что делать? Наверно всё описывается в 1ST-READ, да только мне не понятно что там написано:idontnow:. Ответ можно на mds000@mail.ru |

У меня mc не открывает пакеты, ни TAR ни RPM, при нажатии на имени пакета ничего не происходит.:confused:

Значит у Вас, скорее всего, не установлены какие-то пакеты, связанные с tar, bz, и cpio |
Поставил ALT Linux Junior 2.2 (ядро 2.4.20 - alt6 - up i686), думал может в нём мой модем будет работать, а он (модем) определяется, но не работает. При попытке подключится пишет модем занят.
Где можно скачать дрова под мой модем для этого Линуха? Может дрова для Mondrake 9.0, 9.1 подойдут? Добавлено: По результатам команд dmesg и lspci было выдано множество непонятной мне информации. :idontnow: . Наверное для этого Линуха существует другая команда? А так внешне Junior 2.2 мне намного больше понравился, нежели Red Hat 8.0. Решил на нем остановится. Ещё бы модем заработал было бы ваще замечательно. :) |

1 У Вас оба диска Junior 2.2 ? Насколько я знаю драйвера Lucenet в поставку AltLinux не входит. Добавлено: 2 Удобней для него посмотреть выдачу lspcidrake |
